Ladies and gentlemen.
This year's winter league has for some time been rather organising itself. This communication is to inform you about everything we know or has been decided, and let you know how to proceed.
What we know already:
- The location will be the English International School of Prague. (Same as last year).
- Matches will be every Saturday
- The tournament will start on the 10th of January 2009 so as to give all of our players a chance to recover their peak of physical excellence following the holiday period.
- There will be two divisions - as per last year. Players and Gentlefolk.
- Teams will consist of 6 (six) players.
- Each match will take one and a half hours (45 minutes per innings).
- There is sufficient time to play 5 matches in the day, starting at 9am this means that the last game will be completed at 16.30. There is no gap allowed between games which means punctuality will be important.
- The timings mean that there will be maximum of 11 teams possible. This may be divided as required between the two divisions and the odd team will receive a bye each week. Please note therefore that we may not be able to accommodate all of the teams who may be interested so please register promptly to avoid disappointment.
- The cost of the tournament will be 600Kc per team per match. As per last year all team will be expected to pay two weeks in advance on the first day of the tournament.
- We are in the process of arranging an organising committee which will deal with all further organisational details and publish details accordingly.
- The duration of the tournament will depend upon the number of teams that register.
- The rules will be based on last year but are subject to change until a final final edition is posted on the web site.
What to do next:
